2020-2022 Strategic Plan

The 2020-2022 Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap to guide the Ohio Department of Health (ODH)  toward achievement of its vision. It is also a communication and decision-making tool consistently bringing ODH staff back to what is most important to the agency and the health and well-being of Ohioans. It turns our focus to four priorities aimed at building strategic partnerships; working toward more flexible and sustainable funding; addressing organizational capacity and infrastructure; and considering community conditions/social determinants in all our endeavors.

Development of this plan was led by the Office of Performance and Innovation with direct input from the executive leadership and senior leadership teams. Additional ODH staff and key external stakeholders provided supplemental input.

We are looking forward to directing additional attention toward this plan, moving beyond where we are today into public health of the future.
