Base Inventory of Regulatory Restrictions.

Pursuant to the passing of House Bill 166, the Ohio Department of Health was tasked with taking a regulatory inventory of our current rules.  The Ohio Department of Health conducted a thorough assessment and review of all existing rules to identify the rules having one or more regulatory restrictions that require or prohibit an action.  Rules that include the words; shall, must, require, shall not, may not and prohibit were reviewed and inventoried.  The result of the regulatory base inventory review equaled approximately 12,093 regulatory requirements within the Department’s rules.
