Ohio’s childhood immunization coverage rates, as measured through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Immunization Survey (NIS), are used by the Ohio Department of Health Immunization Program for statewide program planning and policy development. Tracking changes in immunization coverage rates allows the State to measure its progress toward meeting the Healthy People 2020 goal of increasing immunization coverage levels against vaccine-preventable diseases among children 0-2 years of age.

Antigen-specific and series completion rates for children 19-35 months of age from 2010 through 2017 for Ohio are provided in the table below. Survey results for the previous year are usually available by the fall of each year.
