About Us
The mission of the Vaccine-Preventable Disease Epidemiology Program is to prevent and control vaccine-preventable diseases that are reportable in the state of Ohio. The staff members of the Vaccine-Preventable Disease Epidemiology Program work with our local health department partners and other agencies and organizations throughout the state to:
- Conduct surveillance of reportable vaccine-preventable diseases in Ohio
- Investigate vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks and clusters
- Provide guidance to local health departments and healthcare professionals
- Provide vaccine-preventable disease surveillance data
Our staff consists of epidemiologists and a public health nurse consultant.
