About the Comprehensive Cancer Control Program
An integrated and coordinated approach to reduce the incidence and mortality of cancer by preventing it, finding it early, treating it and caring for those who have it is the approach by the ODH Cancer Program.
Several programs in the department work together with partners outside ODH to reduce the burden of cancer in many ways.
We want to help Ohioans know more about cancer and how to prevent it, find it early and get treatment if needed. Working with the American Cancer Society, information is shared through printed materials on television and radio, and by collaborating with partners such as Ohio’s various medical schools, health professionals and other groups.
By working together, we truly will make a difference in the health and quality of life in our state.
