VIRTUAL 2022 Summer Conference for School Nurses: Quality Improvement
The Ohio Department of Health School Nursing program is presenting a virtual conference for nurses licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing who work in the school setting. This conference will feature presentations on quality improvement for school nurses. Topics include introduction to quality improvement, tools to use, and opportunity to identify a quality improvement project in your school.
2022 VIRTUAL Orientation for Nurses New to Ohio Schools
The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) offers an orientation for registered nurses who have less than two years of experience working in schools and who have not previously attended an orientation.

Asthma Inhalers in Ohio Schools: A Train-the-Trainer for School Nurses
The ODH School Nursing program is pleased to offer this train-the-trainer program for nurses and other licensed health professionals. The goal of this course is that nurses working in the school setting will be able to work with the school administration to implement Ohio Revised Code 3313.7113.

The ODH School Nursing program is pleased to offer this train-the-trainer program for nurses and other licensed health professionals. The goal of this course is that nurses working in the school setting will be able to work with the school administration to implement Substitute House Bill 296.

Online Continuing Education Independent Study Opportunities for Nurses
The School Nursing program is pleased to offer continuing nursing education opportunities for nurses licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing. These online independent study courses cover a range of topics including medication administration, human trafficking, ImpactSIIS, vision and hearing screening techniques and others.

Training on Medication Administration
The newly revised course, Medication Administration in Ohio Schools: Training for School Personnel (Revised 2016), is now available online. This medication administration train-the-trainer course is designed for licensed health professionals and builds upon their training and professional knowledge. Following successful completion of the training, the licensed health professional will have access to the course materials for training of designated school personnel in the administration of prescription medication to students. It is not meant for school personnel without health professional licensure - these individuals should seek training on medication administration from a licensed health professional as required by Ohio law.
