Report: LCMV Threat in Ohio Pet Rodents

Download the attached report for information on the investigation of a Muskingum County, Ohio rodent distribution facility that supplied pet rodents linked to several human illnesses of lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV). 

The investigation began June 1, 2005 and involved the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Plant Health and Inspection Service (APHIS) and the Muskingum County Health Department.
