Public Health Investments in Fiscal Years 2020-2021 Executive Budget

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has proposed an executive budget for fiscal years 2020-2021 that invests in Ohio's children, families, workforce, infrastructure, mental health and addiction recovery, and natural resources. It also invests in public health in Ohio.

"The budget we are sending to the Legislature today is a budget for Ohio's future, and it reflects our need to invest in Ohio and Ohioans," said Governor DeWine when he released his proposed budget. "Our budget plants seeds of hope and opportunity for tomorrow through smart, strategic investments in Ohio today."

“I truly believe that this is the start of a new day for public health in Ohio with Governor DeWine making the health and well-being of all Ohioans a high-priority on his agenda,” said Amy Acton, MD, MPH, Director of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). “His budget proposals advancing public health in Ohio are evidence of this strong commitment. We look forward to working collaboratively with our public and private partners at the state and local levels to help realize his vision.”
