Lake Erie Community Grant
Through this grant program, projects will address critical needs to:
- Advance community self-reliance and environmental restoration in communities with pressing needs, both urban and rural;
- Enhance storm water management to improve the health of Lake Erie and its watershed; and
- Strengthen community resilience to intensified storm events through environmental projects and education.

Our Mission
Many communities have been overlooked for environmental investments. To ensure funding reaches those most in need, OLEC is partnering with Black Environmental Leaders Association and Rural Action. These equity partners bring valuable expertise and strong connections to local communities, helping us better direct resources where they are needed using their deep knowledge and relationships to guide our work. Our goal is to address changing weather patterns and achieve meaningful outcomes in Lake Erie restoration and Great Lakes education.
