Planning considerations for ordering 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccines.
- Providers are advised to consider their storage space when placing vaccine orders and to place frequent orders of small quantities.
- Off-cycle COVID-19 vaccine orders can be submitted through the ImpactSIIS Vaccine Ordering Management System (VOMS) as demand for the products is determined and providers need to replenish their inventory.
- VOMS is available for providers to place orders 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- If providers have private supply of COVID-19 vaccines before their VFC or 317-funded COVID-19 vaccines are delivered, they are able to borrow private stock doses for eligible patients and repay the doses once their VFC or 317 stock arrives. All borrowed doses must be documented on the Borrowing Form.
The Ohio VFC Program has scheduled a VFC Education Session for late October. The upcoming VFC provider education session will include information about the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine products. Details on how to access the session will be sent out via email.
The Ohio Department of Health will continue to share updates and resources about COVID-19 vaccines as available.
