The 2024 Ohio Diabetes Action Plan is a state plan developed by the Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Department of Medicaid, Ohio Department of Administrative Services and Ohio Commission on Minority Health. The plan presents current data on diabetes (type 1 and type 2), prediabetes and gestational diabetes prevalence, mortality, trends, hospitalizations, costs, comorbidities, care and disparities; state agency goals and efforts to address the diabetes spectrum across all populations; an assessment of the health and financial impact on state and local jurisdictions; and proposed recommendations to reduce the burden and impact of diabetes in Ohio.
